STAGE
QSM

Quantitative susceptibility mapping, cleared for clinical use.

QSM maps how strongly tissue magnetizes at each point in the brain — quantifying iron, calcium and deoxygenated blood in physical units, not relative brightness. STAGE is the first 510(k)-cleared clinical QSM software.

WHAT IT MEASURES

A physical property, not a filtered image.

STAGE collects real multi-echo signal and solves the underlying signal equations directly. When a pixel appears bright on a QSM map, it is because the algorithm calculated a specific magnetic susceptibility value — essentially relative iron concentration — at that exact physical coordinate.

Iron
Relative iron concentration in deep gray structures.
Calcium
Distinguishes calcified from hemorrhagic lesions.
Deoxygenated blood
Susceptibility contrast from microvascular blood.
REGULATORY MILESTONE

The first 510(k)-cleared clinical QSM software.

STAGE is cleared as a post-processing software platform for comprehensive, quantitative brain imaging, to assist trained physicians in diagnosing and evaluating neurological conditions — across both 1.5T and 3T systems, from GE, Siemens, Philips and Canon.

It replaces something many teams are already quietly doing: relying on non-cleared, in-house scripts to process QSM. STAGE gives them an FDA-cleared, standardized, repeatable alternative.
